Kamryn Phillips
Instructor

  • With a degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and 8 years experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, Kamryn believes fitness is more than just physical movement—it's a pathway to overall wellbeing and personal growth. Kamryn's understanding of human movement and biomechanics has taught her that sustainable fitness comes from combining proper form with mindful, purposeful exercise and she loves bringing these principles to her clients. When she's not in the studio, she's probably reading or cooking a yummy meal. Kam's favorite XFormer move is a carriage lunge!

Kelli Brissette
Instructor

  • Kelli is a fitness enthusiast who loves weightlifting, walking, and has recently connected deeply with XFormer Pilates. Originally from Virginia, she moved to Traverse City in 2017 and now calls it home. With over 10 years of experience as a healthcare administrator and registered nurse, she’s worked primarily in emergency departments and urgent care. Kelli is excited to merge her healthcare background with her passion for fitness to help others feel strong and healthy. Outside the studio, she enjoys traveling with her husband and showering love on every animal she meets.

Kayla Van Acker
Instructor

  • Kayla's love for health and fitness began at Michigan State, majoring in Kinesiology followed by her time at Rosalind Franklin University where she received a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Today she practices in Traverse City as a Pelvic Floor specialist. Her love for movement and the mind body connection led her to start taking pilates classes five years ago to now teaching here at Form. She is passionate about helping others develop strength and confidence so they can be their best self. Her favorite move on the XFormer is side lying leg sweeps because who doesn't love a good glute burn? When Kayla is not in the studio or clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and adorable golden retriever.

Kayla Sahr
Instructor

  • Kayla is a physical therapist with a deep passion for fitness and pelvic health as a trained specialist in the field. She combines her clinical expertise with her love for movement to not only address dysfunction in the clinic, but also help clients achieve new levels of strength and performance in the studio. Fitness has transformed her confidence and well-being, inspiring her to guide others toward feeling stronger, healthier, and more confident. When she is not in the clinic or at the studio, Kayla enjoys all of the outdoor adventures Traverse City has to offer, golfing, farmers market Saturdays, and spoiling her two sweet nieces.

    Favorite XFormer Move: Power Lunge

Blair Yaroch
Instructor

  • Blair moved to Traverse City from Metro Detroit in 2017, drawn by Northern Michigan’s active, health-focused lifestyle. She quickly became part of the local wellness community and has been teaching yoga for several years, holding an RYT 500 certification. At Form TC, Blair brings her passion for movement to both yoga and pilates, aiming to help others feel strong, connected, and inspired. Outside the studio, she enjoys hiking with her dog, spending time on the bay with her husband, and adventuring with their two teens. Her favorite Xformer move is the skater kick, thanks to its dynamic mix of strength, balance, and flow.

Elise Schultz
Instructor

  • Elise is ~also~ an Ohio native! After moving to Traverse City 5 years ago, she has developed a passion for all things "Northern Michigan", including but not limited to: hiking, swimming, SUP, enjoying the local food scene, and supporting (aka shopping) at our  local businesses. In addition to being Northern Michigan's number one fan, Elise has a passion for fitness and wellness, and is known for saying "yes" to any and all new workout opportunities and classes!

    When not in the studio, Elise can be found spending time with friends, chasing sunsets, or posted up at the local coffee shop. Her favorite XFormer move is anything legs - but specifically, static squats!

Sarah Rasmussen
Instructor

  • Sarah is a Traverse City native and acupuncturist, practicing in the area for over 15 yrs.  Her passion for health and wellness began while pursuing her Master’s in Acupuncture and continues to be part of her everyday life. Working with patients that are in chronic pain and dealing with other health issues has put into perspective how important diet, fitness and mental wellbeing are for our health and longevity.  Being active is a key part of her life, incorporating movement everyday. Yoga, running, Barre and now the Xformer are some of her favorite workouts. Moderation and consistency help her maintain a balanced life, especially while raising 2 busy teenagers. When Sarah is not at her practice, Serenity Wellness, or the studio, you can find her spending time with her family, hiking with her puppy, golfing and reading. Her favorite Form move is crane.

Ariel Kessler
Instructor

  • Ariel is a certified personal trainer and group fitness enthusiast. Her favorite Xformer move? Newspaper—because she loves to read and squeeze in a workout at the same time. She believes fitness should be fun, build community, support mental health, physical well-being, and longevity. Off the mic, you’ll find her fueled by faith, family, and probably a protein bar she forgot she had in her bag.

Elise Altonen

  • Elise is a Traverse City native who’s excited to bring her energy, warmth, and love for movement to the Pilates studio. A lifelong fitness and outdoor enthusiast, she feels most at home on the trails, in the water, or spending time with family and friends. With a background in mental health, she is passionate about how movement, community, and connection support both physical and emotional well-being. Elise aims to create a welcoming space where people can build strength, confidence, and body awareness while reconnecting with themselves. Her favorite Xformer move is standing inner thighs.

Lindsay Durham
Instructor

  • Lindsay has been passionate about fitness and movement since her days playing rugby at Michigan State. With a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification and a love for exploring different modalities of movement, she brings strength, focus, and fun to every class. She recently moved to Traverse City from Denver and is excited to share her energy and passion for helping others feel strong and connected in their bodies. Her favorite xformer move is skater kick, and outside of class, you’ll find her running (slowly) along the bay, helping out on her family’s tea farm, spending time with her bulldog Brutus, or getting lost in a good book.

Kilee Millar
Instructor

  • Kilee is a Traverse City native, lifelong dancer, and passionate mover with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Kinesiology and a Dance minor from the University of Utah. She brings a strong foundation in functional movement to every class, combining her knowledge of the human body with years of experience as a performer, choreographer, and teacher.

    As a faculty member of Design Dance Company—where she first fell in love with movement—Kilee continues to create and perform in videography projects and local productions.

    Outside the studio, you’ll find Kilee hiking, rock climbing, reading, or writing poetry—always inspired by nature, creativity, and connection.
